Eyesight and working with a computer PDF Drukuj Email

When working with a computer:

  1. Places computer in a location that allowiyou to see the farthest point in the room while seating in front of the monitor. From time to time glance up to that remote point to allow your eyes to rest. In this way you can prevent the visual strain accumulating.
  2. It is very important to avoid any glare on thescreen (reflections of the light by the monitor glass): they dazzle your eyes and distract attention causing the eye overstrain. The blank screen should not reflect any objects or light when it is turned off. The ways to remove the glare are: turning the monitor, moving the objects it reflects, curtaining windows, turning off or reducing the irritating lighting, changing the monitor settings by lowering its brightness, using a protective screen filter or antiglare spray.
  3. Blink as often as every 3 to 5 seconds.
  4. Shift your gaze to remote objects every few minutes.
  5. If possible, use theglasses that protect against radiation.
